In 1970, I was invited by the UCLA Chicano Cultural Center to provide the illustrations and cover art for Alurista's first volume of poetry: Floricanto, Published the following year, the book has become a classic in contemporary Chicano literature and launched both our creative careers. These selected prints are from the 14 originals which are now in the collection of the UCLA Chicano Studies Research Center.
